How Journey comparisons are researched

Journey publishes these pages, so they are not independent reviews. This methodology explains what we check, what we do not claim and when the sources must be reviewed again.

Method

  1. 1

    Name the exact product and use case

    We record the named product, whether it is a whole suite or a component, and the buyer task attached to the statement. We do not treat a component as a whole-suite equivalent.

  2. 2

    Use primary vendor sources

    Descriptions of other products come from dated snapshots of the supplier's own product pages. Every statement has a source URL, title, capture date, short support paraphrase and stated limitation so buyers can check the context themselves.

  3. 3

    Do not infer absence

    If a vendor page does not mention a capability, we say to check with that supplier. We do not turn silence into a tick, cross or claim that the capability is missing.

  4. 4

    Separate Journey evidence

    Journey statements describe implemented product scope or a clearly labelled target. Material security, assurance and commercial details are confirmed through current evidence and written terms during evaluation.

  5. 5

    Time-limit the review

    Each supplier statement is explicitly presented as a historical snapshot captured on 30 August 2026, never as proof of current availability. From 29 September 2026, the interactive page replaces it with a re-verification notice until the source is checked again. The 45-day maximum is an additional backstop, and we review earlier if a supplier publishes a material change.

Dated primary-source ledger

Each record is claim-level evidence, not a supplier scorecard. It supports only the description and product scope stated below; it is not proof of pricing, security, contractual terms or a complete feature set.
